Cecil Price (1935 - 2014)

 

Cecil Alfred Price passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2014, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Funeral: 2 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Moore Funeral Home. Memorials: The family requests any donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

 

 Cecil was born on Dec. 23, 1935, in Oklahoma City, Okla. He moved to Texas as a young child and resided in Texas the remainder of his life. He grew up in the Handley community of east Fort Worth and graduated from Handley High School where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Barbara.

 

Cecil was a heavy-equipment operator in a career that included developing and directing the apprenticeship program for the International Union of Operating Engineers, from which he retired. Cecil was also in the Navy Reserve. He enjoyed dove hunting, fishing and taking care of his cars. He especially loved his trips to Las Vegas and Shreveport.

 

Cecil was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend who will be greatly missed by all. Cecil Alfred Price was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara; and his mother and father, William and Virgie Price. Survivors: He is survived by his son, Jeff and his wife, Cherie; his daughter, Debbie and her husband, Jimmy; grandsons, Clint Baker, Justin Price, Chris Price and wife, Lindsay; granddaughter, Jaclyn Armontrout and husband, Brian; great-grandsons, Chance and Murphy; great-granddaughters, Natalie, Kaitlyn and Jaedynn; many nieces and nephews; and countless friends.
