Angel Marien


1940 - 2014

 

Marien, Angel Angel Marien, 73, of Davenport, FL passed peacefully on March 24, 2014. Having recently beaten cancer, he passed from related surgical complications.

 Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on 09/16/1940, Angel is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Christine Marien-Shelton, son Joseph Marien (Tina), step-children Gary Snyder (Edie), Julie Stephens (Rick), Jeff Snyder (Nina), and Cheri Delage (Dave), 5 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and siblings Ivette Marien (Joseph McGhie) and Nitza Marien. Angel treasured his wife, family, and close friends.

 His RVing travels took him across the USA.

 He honorably served during Vietnam and retired after 21 years as a USAF Tech Sergeant.

 His trademark was his favorite cowboy hat. Whether flying Cessnas, training horses, creating illustrations and graphics, woodworking, or fishing, he donned his hat.

 He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, & Discovery Owners of America.

 A future memorial is planned. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Wounded Warriors Project is requested.

 His friendliness and easy-going ways will be forever missed by all who knew him.
